White APC40 :-)
Just gave it a paint job today, not quite finished, still need to add a few red lines to the fader bank, and some minimal red lettering on some of it.

Thanks very much. I actually stripped it down, only took about 20 mins, and most of that was unscrewing the huge number of screws.

@Rave, @ UncleT, thank you.
@nuperspective, you got me, how did you know, hang on, Gandalf, is that you? I didn't know you were a Live user, we could have exchanged clip launch and effect rack spells....
Umm, ok, maybe I inhaled too much paint today.....

While you were in there, did you notice how the faders were hooked up?
Are they connected with a ribbon? Mounted to the big main pcb? Or are they attached to a smaller PCB that is in turn connected to the main pcb?
While in Rome...

Re: White APC40 :-)
They are mounted to the main pcb. I was hoping there would be room to replace them with flying faders, and control them with an arduino board, but there's not room for either. The encoders are the same profile and circuit height though, so you could replace the faders with encoders, then it's just working out a hack to get them to receive feedback from live as to position for when you jump to the next track bank.hoffman2k wrote:While you were in there, did you notice how the faders were hooked up?

Nice one; very bold. You're braver than me... I wouldn't take paint anywhere near it!
