Re: Features you would like to see in Ableton 9?
but if I really have to ask for features I gues...
broader rendering options would help...
like batch rendering clips of different lengths from session ..for instance
I would also like the ability to 'reverse' audio for more than 1 clip at a time
...in fact... batch editing all common parameters in clips without blocking
decent autofades in arrangement..
an 0%-200% scale for each 'clip envelope'..
better delay compensation...
8 banks of 8 macros per rack...
automation for 'groove' parameters..
automation for 'transient envelope' of audio clips
sysex i/o to m4l...
audio s/r for m4l..
oh... and Lives' native 'sliders' for vsts are a nightmare to look at..
no more endless beta cycles..
dare I say.. clip automation ?
that is all...

Re: Features you would like to see in Ableton 9?
people have probably already mentioned these but...:
1. a convolution effect
2. an easy lfo that can be assigned to any effect parameter (with slow random of course!)
3. easy osc support (not everybody has max4live)
4. in arrangement view, ability to insert/delete time spans on a single track instead of all tracks
5. more cool clip follow actions (like jump to next next or random color group)
6. a 'release' type feature that allows a clip to play past the loop to the end point when you press stop on it
7. mp3, ogg, or flac export
8. ability to fade mix two video clips (like a simple vj mixer)
9. a simple ipad clip view version of ableton?
10. an option so that single mouse click makes an automation point (my wrists are wearing out!)
11. ability to edit keyboard shortcuts

A Looper that records layers to separate clip slots.
And the Share I already paid for.

process clips without having to open another editor and without having to rerecord or freeze, every other software does it! i can't use vocal allign or autotune in graphic mode on live!

@freshdumma : + 10000000000 :
- a REAL AUDIO EDITOR INCLUDED IN LIVE AND THE POSSIBILITY TO BOUNCE IN PLACE (without the long phase of freezing, bounce ,unfreeze etc..more ergonomic and more in the live's spirit).
- AUTOSLICE AN AUDIO CLIP IN ARRANGEMENT BASED ON THE GRID and MARKERS .
- CONVOLUTION DEVICE (EQ,COMP,REVERB ETC).
- NO MORE ISSUES WITH DELAY COMPENSATION AND 3rd party PLUGS.
thanks !

for your default set to open like you save it... i.e. i have 5 vsti(s) that i use in my default set... i would like for the 5 to be open when the set open... instead of having to open them each time i load the default set... hope that make sense...

Re: Features you would like to see in Ableton 9?
Just two of them,
1) I would love to have a pop-up windows telling me either when the next crash will happen and if a crash happens in which version of Live it will be fixed, ..
2) The native demo set when you open live should be 'Der Klang Der Familie' since this set will be 100% in sync.
If this is too much asked I will switch to Magix Music Maker 2.0

Live8 Suite, Logic Pro X, µTonic, Synplant, U-He ACE, U-He Zebra2.x, U-He Uhbik's, U-He DIVA, Tal Bassline, GURU, Genelec 8040's, SPL Control, Serato, Traktor, TouchAble
Re: Features you would like to see in Ableton 9?
In no particular order
1. hybrid between eq8 & spectrum analyzer
2. ability to assign keyboard shortcuts to Live's browser, e.g. Shift-C to load a Compressor
3. display automation values as you move the automation lines. Right now, you have to stop and hover over the little circles to see the current value
4. single-action to display all automation lines on a track
5. ability to place comments on the arrangement page, similar to MS PowerPoint to Word. Comments can be collapsable... hovering over them reveals the comment
6. have the zoom feature out of "preferences" and onto the main Live window
7. ability to easily cut a portion of audio and paste it elsewhere (this must be doable already... anyone?)
8. mouse zooming and scrolling in the arrangement view, not on the tiny bar at the top
9. and of course, bezier curves for automation

what about just mouseclick in clipview and write "compressor" in a text edit pop-up in an audio track?araz wrote: 2. ability to assign keyboard shortcuts to Live's browser, e.g. Shift-C to load a Compressor

Timestretch for sliced MIDI clips.
Export to mp3 and wav format.
Cutoff for MIDI notes, when you hit one pad the next pad cuts it off.
