Then I could split up a track in sections and still use looping.
I was just waiting for someone else to play back that part of the tape I have been playing for years so I'll just say
+1 to that

Nice post Porfiry!

I do something vaguely similar, I separate tweaking, kit-building, etc from music making as I think they are entirely different processes.

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm doing right now, it's like prep work at a restaurant. You have to have your onions 'n shit chopped before you can make dinner, yo! :P

Yep +1 ... something like a follow actions marker would be cool.

+1 on this. You sent me into a cold sweat just then sending resounding memories of the ease of vocal takes and stacking in a single audio lane - then comping straight away, and that being in cubase 4!

However - group tracks could be the way to go on this. Maybe if you could press a button to switch a group channel to a comping channel..I'm sure all the architecture is there maybe a few tweaks (says he who knows nothing about programming  )

But yeah - and the automation in session clips too!!

Otherwise keep up the good work.
:D :D :D

I would actually like to see Ableton Studio, instead of an Ableton Live. Just because I don't use it live but i love the workflow for all my studio needs.
If anything better plug ins. Ableton plug ins are ok for tracking but shit for the main mix. Its like putting a mic in the toilet and taking a dump on it. I don't even think that makes any sense.

Easier way to manage presets and launch from channelstrips. Like in Logic Studio 8 :-)

1. dual monitor support [what the f?!?!]
2. tabbed arrangements
3. some way to turn off the arrangement, so you can fiddle in session view without hassle.
4. destructive editing with something like the offline process history in cubase.
5. much much bigger breasts.

Ability to save projects as plain text (like in Max) - using YAML or whatever.
