If F11 gives you full screen on a mac, what the heck brings it back?

I think F11 toggles full screen, it does on a pc anyway.

Just curious, did you try pushing F11 again?

Just curious.

Read the FAQ. It addresses this. Its an Expose issue on Macs.

This is a pet peeve of mine as well. Ridiculously small target to hit. I just toggle F11 instead (OS X).

F11 without expose

alt + F11 with expose

On new mac keyboards with expose enabled alt + fn + f11

No, when properly configured to your needs it's great.

Indeed. I have expose desktop on the center click on my mouse(f2) and expose all windows on the side click (f1). When you move the expose off the f11 it toggles the fullscreen n all goes down better than a wet dream with your favorite big breasted female church crush.

maybe you could explain the purpose of it?
Mac 101 wrote:When you're heavily involved in your tasks, it's easy to clutter your Desktop with an array of Finder and application windows. Rather than hunt and click through the pile to find the one you're looking for, use Exposé instead.
What I don't understand is why you would click around on windows to find what you want. it is all sitting there on the dock.

typically I would have about 20 windows open at a given time, and so I find that it's too much to digest visually, looking at all the little thumbnails.

I get the feeling that it is aimed at long-time mac users who have deep seated habits of dragging windows around while they work. I have everything maximized and just click on the dock (aka task bar) to switch

??
