OT: Mos Def

Post by mholloway » Sat Jun 13, 2009 7:27 pm

new album "the ecstatic" = i like it. a lot.

i'm not particularly big on hip hop generally, but there's something very, very infectious about his nearly-lazy rhymes and the sampled-world-musicy tracks. this thing has a great vibe from start to finish.

thumps up. ;)

The Mos Def album isn't on Spotify yet, but the Q-Top one is. Am LOVING it; quality grooves, and some really nice sampling.

I must dig out my MPC again...

Loving the new Mos Def over here as well. Some of those tracks are VERY atmospheric, and his rhymes are damn good as usual.

Ok, finally copped it and have listened to it all the way through a couple three times.

I'm a big Mos Def fan, and am happy to see/hear him come like this. Very, very nice work, imo!!
peace,
