I can't remember the last time 7.0.15 crashed on me, so I'm done spending more money until Live improves CPU utilization, goes 64 bit and improves its automation envelopes. Max4live is pretty big but everything else in 8 was just so underwhelming, and the crashes to boot... I can't justify the money.

I'm not looking for a flame war but I gotta keep it real.

Yeah 8.04 seems less stable here in general than 8.02 and 8.03.

I join on that one.....
I'm using LIVE since 2 years on live (live stage i mean) // and for the first time I crahed Live 8.04 on a live session......very embarrassing.\
I had as well for the first time the message // not enough memory \\
I must be back to the 8.03 / which was more stable
What's going on @ ableton ???

by the way // even if I'm  / I love some new features in the 8 like the looper, the 3 bands dynamics comp, the limiter.....
hope to have soon a stable version...
regards / ludand

Maybe it's me underusing it but no problems here...
My setup is on a Leopard 10.5.4 iMac 2008 and I use no plugins,
except for Zebra 2.3. As a controller I use a BCF2K in Mackie Mode
(programmed into a preset, not the standard mode from BIOS).
I only experience a very odd thing:
If left alone for more than 20 minutes in stop mode.
Live automatically turns itself on and Records on the last track
I used... scaring... 8O
Mac Studio M1
Live 12 Suite,Zebra ,Valhalla Plugins, MIDI Guitar (2+3),Guitar, Bass, VG99, GP10, JV1010 and some controllers

Pasha: what's the difference with the MCU preset you built and bios MCU mode?

1. Mapped buttons so no need for a shift button all is there 'one finger operation'
2. Downside... LED rings do not reflect value in Live...

If you search in the forum you should find old threads of mine and link to preset,
if not PM me. :D

Man I'm glad I didn't upgrade to Live 8.

I'm definitely gonna get Max4Live, but I'm sticking with 7 until Ableton finish Live 8.

I have to say, I do think Ableton are victims of their own reputation here. Live is typically very stable, so they have a lot to live up to with each update. That said, the problems people seem to be having make me very glad I didn't part with the cash.

Think I'll get a padKontrol instead.

Heads up---You'll need Live 8 to run Max4Live

AU or VST? Both do not crash over here, which exact version of Reaktor?
If it's the latest one, send me the osx crashlog!

Cheers,
