recommend a headphone amp

i'm looking into one of these that's good, under $150, and with 2-4 headphone outs. currently i'm looking at this model and would like to know what you guys think > http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/HP4/

i'd rather take one with 2 outs that's more accurate and qualitative obviously than a lower quality one with more outs.

Honestly, if your looking at the presonus headphone amp, you might as well drop 20 more bucks and get the 8 channel Berhinger one. Its rackmountable, Has direct inputs for each channel, As well as jacks for phones on the front and back for each channel. You can also monitor two different mixes on any channel. And there are independant levels for both of those mix input channels.

The outputs are loud as hell too. Plenty of headroom.

For the price, you cant beat it.. Ive had mine for years and its never given me a problem despite the fact that its a berhinger peice. Its just a headphone amp though...

I use Behringer HA400 with no problems - its cheap and it has 4 outputs

If you need to provide different mixes to different folks (drummer mix, singer mix, key mix, guitar mix) I'd recommend considering something like this:

If you shop around you can probably find some decent deals on places like ebay. They're very good for recording several people at one time where everybody has their own little mixing station and controls their own headphone mix.

I have the 4 channel Behringer that mdb linked above. It is 4 channel but each channel has 3 outputs, so you actually have 12 outputs. It has XLR and 1/4 inch ins and outs. each of the 4 channels has it's own EQ just in case you are using crappy headphones that are not flat, you can tweak em. all 4 channels also have auxiliary inputs with a fader knob to balance the main and aux., L/R mute options per channel, stereo/mono per channel.

This thing is friggin awsome... I've had it for years and it has never given me a problem. It's $109 in most places.

Because of the EQ and the aux inputs, I actually think the 4 channel version (with 12 total 'outs') is a much better deal than the 8 channel, which doesn't have the extra features.
