i'm broke and it seems like i'll be broke when M4L comes out...
has anyone heard how much this update/add-on will be?
maybe free for those who bought Live 8? hahahaha...

Well, you can only use it plugged into Live (which is fine of course) so in that sense it's not the full Max.
A lot of people will want it just to be able to run patches other people made.
Max is going to multiply its user base because of Ableton.

... I reckon it's going to be quite reasonably priced, as to get everybody on board.

I'm also willing $99 into existence.

Heck, if we are able to will prices into existence I'm going for -$1,000,000,000,000,000. Thank you Ableton for paying me to use your product.

I's say between the $99 and $159 area with me leaning more towards $99. I am curious as to how much it will cost me as a current Max 5 license holder...

The most expensive Live instruments are $159, so considering M4L's feature set compared to those instruments it's undoubtedly going to be more than $159. $99 is surely out of the question.

I'm still betting on $299 for non-Max 5/Pluggo license holders. I'd say $149 for Max 5 users.

Note: If someone suggests more than 99$ he'll be called a backstabber and a real Benedict Arnold.

M4L is gonna be from public utility.
Seen that users will make plenty of patches.

THey should spread M4L freely, no charges because users will make it live.

My sources say that if you wait 3 weeks till after you buy it, Ableon will offer it free with a Live 8 purchase.

if they sell it for $99 or less, I promise I will upgrade to Live 8 ... my word is my bond ... james bond. licensed to tweak max parameters

i hope they charge thousands.
