Is that why my mixes always come out kinda muddy and fuzzy sounding? I always thought it was the summing bus.

+1
more and more VST synths are including an audio-in effect version. Predator has one already and Zebra will soon from what I understand. It would be pretty cool if we had this for the Ableton synths. Maybe they can make that a x-mas present to us! That should be enough time to work it out.

Once again, I have no idea what is being discussed here.

Some synths have audio-in to use their filters and effects, like Vember Audio's Surge, or a recent hardware version is the Mopho. I don't understand why you'd need them with the Ableton synths though when you have the effects and filters that come with Live..
Re: is it me or...
I think this is referring to being able to use a synth's filters and such as audio effects; kinda like Corpus/Collision...beats me wrote:Once again, I have no idea what is being discussed here.

yup, audio in is nothing that unusual with synths, as they have there own filters or often step sequencers, all sorts of other effects, etc.jamester wrote:I think this is referring to being able to use a synth's filters and such as audio effects; kinda like Corpus/Collision...beats me wrote:Once again, I have no idea what is being discussed here.

Audio in is kind of unusual for synths that have no effects though.
All it would get you would be a filter. Either in operator or sampler or analog.
What I think would be better would be if autofilter got all the filter types found in the new operator and sampler. Especially samplers morphing filter.
