Hello
I have just started using the demo version of live and am enjoying it immensely. One of the things I'm interested in with this application is the DJ mixing capabilities.
I have a basic soundblaster live 5.1 soundcard (pants I know!) which I'm having trouble configuring with live. I am told I need 4 outputs or 2 stereo which the card has but when I try to set up a channel for pre-listening and one for monitoring I only have the same option for both.
I am convinced I should be able to use this card with Live as I have Traktor DJ studio and have successfully monitored on one channel and pre-listened on another using that. I have even wired this up to my hardware mixer and had 1 channel to channel A on mixer and Channel 2 to CHannel B on mixer.
I am sure the card has multiple outputs and the right drivers.
I've searched the forum and see others have problems with this card but wasnt able to find a resolution.
Please can anyone help ?
Thanks in advance
Using Live with an SB Live Soundcard!
Does anyone have any ideas on this ?
Is anyone using an SB Live soundcard with live and successfully monitoring on one channel and 'playing out' on another ?
I discovered an old post where someone said they could use an SB Live 5.1 fine for dj-ing in Live.
Am i missing something ?
Please help, I would really like to try out live in a DJ context
cheers
