I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now, what I'm with isn't it, and what's "it" seems weird and scary to me.

so how i can't ever see that happening. akai will just sell through the apc 40 and release a mark 2 for the same price.

games systems would drop in price as the CPUs and memory get cheaper to build. but is the cost of pots and LEDs dropping fast enough to ever have the same effect.

perhaps you will be able to get a used one in a few months. either way i'll bet the price for a new one holds steady.

isn't that basically what the APC is? It's like dance-dance revolution for aspiring DJs :D
Some stuff, and some other stuff. Honest.
Currently on a huge and mostly pointless promotion drive, come play:

There might be a price drop - in about 3 years time. There's about another 9 months worth of back order sales, and when Max4Live drops another surge is going to happen.

Or if they introduce the APC 41 in a year or so, a juiced up APC40 with even more clip slots and controls for only 50 bucks extra.

that isn't the case everywhere. I got mine at guitar center too though, they only had 3 in stock.

I canceled my pre-order a long time ago, but if/when I'm ready to get one I have a GC that is walking distance from my place and I'm curious if I'll just be able to walk in and get it. San Jose doesn't strike me as a high APC40 demand city.

the good thing about guitar center is they will ship it from another guitar center for free. So they look up which guitar center has it, you pay, in 2 or 3 days it arrives.

This depends. Back in the day I was getting an expansion card for my Roland XP-30 and they had to order it from another store, but somehow between the time they called to let me know it was in and I got to the store it had disappeared. This happened 3 TIMES on the same card and they offered very little sympathy.

God, those were some dark days before online retailers.
