isn't that a freakin' commercial? now it's stuck in my head trying to figure out what it was.. but no, I don't wear short shorts..

here in New Zealand short shorts are a big aspect of our cultural identity.
We even have a brand name for them.
They are a fashion accessory and part of the dress code for every back yard BBQ or beach cricket tournament.
No New Zealand wardrobe is complete with out at least one pair of stubbies in it.
They are usually brown, although they can also some times be dark blue.
The Australian alternative is the ubiquitous speedo's, also known as the banana hammock.
In both cultures, and depending where you are in the country, either of these fine examples
of colonial couture are worn with matching rubber footware.
In NZ these are most likely going to be black or white gum boots with the top rolled down and partnered by a pair of rugby socks.
In Australia it is usually thongs (flip-flops) either barefoot, or with a large pair of gray woolen socks.

Our legs are long and strong as tree trunks.
Our buttocks are firm, round and hard as rocks.
These are some of our finest assets.
We have no fear..

You guys play with Poi alot in NZ? I know that's where it originated. First time I saw someone spinning fire I knew I had to learn how to do that shit, now I can't get enough of it. That and Ableton.

the Ausies are a fearless bunch.. never mind the going and seeing..what about the being there and cooking?
prawns have a lot of fat in them, they get hot on the barbie and explode all the time.
Exploding fatty prawns and speedo's are not a good combination.
