(UPDATE+vid) - ableton chord session based on circle of 5ths
Re: ableton chord session based on circle of 5ths
So...if anybody updates this session file w/ additional chords or corrections for each key (assuming corrections need to be made), could you all post the file on this thread w/ maybe a revised session file name?
Cuz that would be most awesome.

thank you to the OP !!! this is gonna be a v.e.r.y. useful tool as is!
should the "music theory gurus" around here update this file to make it even better, that would rock even more

added another video of me messing around: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2_hXAqPHtQ
i've updated the file but haven't published yet. it's organized a little differently and there's more scales/chords.

Any updates worth posting? I'm gonna have some theory-fluent friends take a look at this and amend any problem areas but it would help to have the most updated file if anyone has made one.
Thanks again to the original poster. This is most 3pic.

There's java programs like JMusic and JFugue, I had a look a them, you could generate midifiles with them according to a set of rules.
I'm a nobody in programming, but it would for sure be the fastest way to create all the possible progressions and modulations.
