APC 80 !!!!!!!!
Re: APC 80 !!!!!!!!
That looks like it's photoshopped or something, but you just never know with Akai. I remember wanting a MPD 24 and putting it off, and then one year later they released the MPD 32 which I now own.
Maybe a better version will be released next year.
Who knows?

deffinatly photoshoped. Looks nice though.
But I allways thought the 40 part was refering to the 40 clip launch buttons, so an apc 80 would (hopefully) have either 16 tracks (my wish - being able to mix 2 tracks with 8 stems each without moving banks) or 10 scenes...

agreed. I was gonna post mentioning that the 40 part is the number of clip buttons, but it was too much typing. it's just like monomes folks!Dexes wrote:deffinatly photoshoped. Looks nice though.

I reckon it'll be the apc64 next (8x8), and I doubt they'll add pads or anything else that's cool cus then no-one would want to buy MPCs or other akai products! A few more pots would be nice though
Some stuff, and some other stuff. Honest.

Re: APC 80 !!!!!!!!
also, i think they would rather release a smaller, more handy version for easy traveling... APC20 ? APCmini ?
and something with less disco lighting and bus powered... before an even larger monster.
p.s. at least that is my hope.

Re: APC 80 !!!!!!!!
what is the time frame between releases on controllers like this? you'd think seeing how they just released the apc 40 about 4 months ago that there would be a couple years in between releases of a new product or next generation product...and there are still people out there who still dont even have one yet and are still waiting lol

Re: APC 80 !!!!!!!!
very hopeful they'll do a simpler version - just clip launch grid, no faders or knobs.
a nice big monome style clip launch grid - velocity sensitive, and a mackie control for all the other stuff.

Re: APC 80 !!!!!!!!
mm, and some motorized faders dammit.
Re: APC 80 !!!!!!!!
19" Rackmount!!!
16 channels (not quite as crammed together)
motorized faders
and mackie c4 style multiple device control
+ seperate Pan & send controls above each fader, like in the op's pic (and return faders)
(If it supposed to be an all in one controller, then really ALL in one)
