...if she didnt do ask permission....SUE HER ASS!!!...? maby?

She doesn't need to apparently, from the label: "its definitely just Madonna gathering a list of tunes she likes and selling them as an album"

Plus, at this point, do I really care if she asked permission or not? They don't come much bigger in this biz than her, it's pretty cool :)

Who is this "Madonna"? you speak of? Wasn't she like a back up singer for Cindy Lauper or was it the Pet Shop Boys? 8O

Oh, wait, She blew up after Bi-God20 remixed her "like a prayer" song.
Anyway, Congrats Bro!

Just goes to show you that you never know what's going to happen with a song. I put out an album a couple years ago and the song that was the poorest recording & hardest to mix & the least favorite tune of our drummer - is the only song anyone cares about on Last FM. I almost didn't put it on the record, and it's the only one people like.

Finish your tracks, use your best judgement when creating them, and abandon all judgement once they're released. The public will always surprise you.

Most importantly- be tenacious. In the two years that Tim forgot about this tune, Madonna found it and rocked out to it and gave it a second life. Time is on our side.

Kudos on the track selection, dude. It's a good thing to happen. It doesn't, however, de-prat Madge; she's still a prize twunt.

Awesome news! Congrats!

Side note: Wish I was famous enough to just burn a cd of what's on my Ipod and send it to a record label and say it's my new mix cd.
