Mac processor MAX out Live 4

Post by 235musick » Fri Sep 10, 2004 11:21 am

Hi Guys

I am running Live 4 on a MAC G4 Duel 450Mhz with 1GB ram, I am using the internal built in Sound card. When I use the reverb plug-in the processor MAXes out and the sound jitters and slows down. I have whacked the audio buffer right up but still the problem persists. This is the same when I use more 2 Simpler....I would of thought my set up would be fine for these operations...BTW I'm using OSX Panther, is there any suggestions for a way to stop this with out using less plug-ins????

Thanks

if its not already done, set your processor performance to highest in the system preferences>energy settings. that should help
ededitedit.

The second processor just handles the graphic-portion of Live. So you really only have one processor working the audio side of Live.

if you don´t need simpler playing 12 voices at the same time, put the voices down to 1 or 2.

best

use Apple AU Reverb instead of Ableton's reverb
