You can get part way there now with an ipad and air display. I think I prefer the Maschine route. Custom hardware for specifc software. But no doubt touch screen will only become more prevalent.

Yeah. 10 out of 10 for effort by NI, AKAI etc. We are getting places, but man it will be so cool to eventually have full native touchscreen control over session view, mixers and synths etc.

If I eventually get my head properly wrapped around all the features of the SL-MkII, and Automap itself, I'm gonna make a YouTube video with a sort of idiots guide!

A lot of people are raving about Maschine. I'm actually trying not to think about it. I just can't afford it.
