I must say it's surprising. What Obama has laid out in his plans is certainly commendable, but it remains to be seen how much he can get done in reality. His (and the dems in general) inability to get their healthcare plan trough congress despite having a super majority does not bode well for the successrate of other plans (although quite possibly passing healthcare reform in the USA is harder than accomplising, say, world peace )

I was a big supporter of his, more a supporter of the image and and potential he embodied then him. Kennedy in my lifetime to bring us out of the GOP dark ages, which is seemingly an unattainable goal. Never underestimate the sheer stupidity of mob mentality fueled by corporate media and religion. I know it hasnt even been a year but im already letdown by how toothless he seems to be, but of course we're not used to mature factual discussions in politics from a level headed and decent guy. He talks to us like we're adults and its not getting him anywhere, stop pandering to the idiot hordes already and get shit done!

He needs an award for not getting shot. Seriously, the Fox-fueled nascar jesus freaks are finding any reason to criticize him other then thier actual main concern: he's a n*gger. He's not "one of us" and isnt really an american and is muslim and bathes in goats blood or whatever the hell it is they actually think. A Nobel peace price? fuckin hell this is going to get thier panties in bunch, should be some good entertainment.
