How much will upgrade cost to ver 8?

I forgot the original ver i bought of Live.
I later upgraded to 5.2, my present version.

Now I am looking at various versions of 8
I have tried to find an answer
So please let me know the prices of the full suite, and the basic 8 as well; just to compare, though a friend suggests it is a great value to get the suite.

Problem is money is a little tight... and neither he, nor my efforts here, yield the simple answer

I got confused the last time I tried.

I have $349 as a price for the ver 8 Suite update.

I guess I wasn't clear about the distinction between what you get with ver 8, vs ver 8 Suite
you still have to add on ( not complaining ) eg Session Drums/ Orchestra.

I thought ver 8 Suite included some of these items from below from the Ableton site

You get none of Live's paid instruments at all with Live 8 vanilla.

OK , that's with Live "vanilla" 8

Now what do I get with Suite 8 ? You said EVERYTHING I listed- that is a ton of money for very little money- are you quite sure?

And are there at least 2 versions of Suite 8, maybe 3 even?? Box, downloadable, and another approach.

This is NOT as simple as people are saying. The vanilla part couldn't be simpler, but...

i got lite 5 free with some hardware controller years ago, upgraded to full version of 5 & bought operator, i upgraded to suite 8 recently for 199 euros, so i think i got a bargain there, and it was such a massive upgrade going from 5 to 8.

im prety sure its cost me less to buy 5 + operator then upgrade to suite 8 than it would be to be a new user and just buy suite 8.

I just saw that it would cost me 199 euros to upgrade from 6 to 8.

I thought it was only 99 euros.

Now, I know I won't upgrade before a long, long time, I've got lots of other more important stuff to buy, and not soo much money.

I know some of you will say it's really worth the price, but huuuh, 199euros to get only (cool) little improvements??? they even don't give sampler for that price. f*** it, I'm really upset.
