I don't get this example.anybody human wrote:It's like saying you can only play guitar well on a Fender, and anyone who plays a Gibson is obviously going to have more difficulty playing well.

Picture responses that aren't obvious remind me of my DJ friend who thinks just because I've been on beatport he can start rifling off obscure artists like I hang out with all of them on weekends.

oh god please no.anybody human wrote:I never get the Mac vs. PC thing. I think Macs are vastly superior from most PC's, for a many reasons. I just think Apple are good at what they do. World altering good actually. But you could easily build a PC to do anything you wanted it to do. It's like saying you can only play guitar well on a Fender, and anyone who plays a Gibson is obviously going to have more difficulty playing well. It's the guitarist that counts. That said, I think some people who are well known and use PC's used them years ago. If you're starting out now, Macs seem to be a good option because they just work. Think about the guy that designed the Macbooks, Macbook Pro, iPod, iPod Touch, iPhone- what's up with that guy? If you own a Mac there's just something effortless about them, like a computer a human would have. But that doesn't help you make music. Music's in your head. And the air.

Who's Mohamed Ali? JKanybody human wrote:No offense Beats Me, but jeez man, he's Aphex Twin. LOL, that cracked me up. I guess it shows that there's music famous, and then there's Mohamed Ali famous. A lot of very smart people say he's the guy from the 2nd half of the 20th century that people will have heard of a hundred years from now, if that makes sense. Guy's ridiculous.
Seriously though I've always felt that Richard D. James is probably the closest thing we have to a true pioneering genius in our times.

please tell me you're doing a kind of parody of a mac fan boi post. or perhaps you work for apple marketing?? i've always felt the difffernce in an apple marketing employee and a mac fan boi is that one guy gets paid and the other actually pays to do the same thing.anybody human wrote:I never get the Mac vs. PC thing. Hendrix only played good guitar processing his sound thru ableton and using looper on a mac... otherwise he sucked.

Modern Gibsons are overpriced garbage and you'd have to be a moron to buy one over a Fender, plus if you fuck the neck on a Fender you don't need to buy a new guitar... and you could beat a man to death with a Telecaster and it'll still be in tune and never get lost in a mix.H20nly wrote:^ I think he is implying that Fenders and Macs are better.
