Re: midi pedal board for under $150?
I've seen these simple USB 3 button pedals that are supposed to be use for REWIND, PLAY, FASTFORWARD.
Can anyone point me in the direction of one of these, will it be easy to program this pedal to UP scene, LAUNCH scene, and DOWN scene?
I use a sustain pedal to loop my bass but I want to be able to go up a scene, down a scene and launch scenes from a pedal..
I don't really need an FCB or any other pedal board because all I really need is the 4 buttons, and the sustain pedal can change functions when I change presets on my synth/usb controller..
Might have to make myself one of those nanoKEY foot hacks.. it doesn't look too hard to make, then I'd officially have all 3 of the nano's (good thing? not so sure)..
If I find a decent 3 button pedal and figure out how it will work with Ableton I'll post something.

These might be totally wrong for what all you guys are looking for but I'm kinda thinking out loud here, if anyone has had experience with these let me know how reliable they are..

I like the red, would probably be the most visible in a dark club/venue.

that's a really nice little box! its a bit pricey though.. But it might be just what im looking for.. How small expression pedals and foot switches can you get that would fit? I got the Moogerfooger single pedal that should fit, but its huge like a brick. Also got a Roland foot switch with the size of about a computer mouse. Id love really small expression pedals and switches..pepezabala wrote:someone has used this one here?

^^^ it's also nice if you have a couple different "stations" in your setup, walk up to a keybaord and have a pedal for it, then walk up to another instrument and theres a pedal for that..
I'm sure Keller Williams has a setup like this.

I am surprised that some think the fcb1010 is not reliable. I bought one at the same time I bought Ableton Live about two years ago and have never had any problems with it.
Keep in mind that there are some musicians --- the ones who stomp on pedals like they were trying to squash a Houston Texas cockroach --- who can figure out a way to obliterate any pedal no matter how solid it is made.
Figuring out how to program it can be a little intimidating at first. But, a lot of people use it so there are a lot of tutorials, even youtube videos, on the web. Also, there is now a MAC shareware GUI program for only $15 which makes programming it a no-brainer:

My concern is only with the size. I prefer to bring everything with the hand luggage.istlota wrote:I am surprised that some think the fcb1010 is not reliable. I bought one at the same time I bought Ableton Live about two years ago and have never had any problems with it.
