midi pedal board for under $150?

Post by Johnisfaster » Fri Oct 30, 2009 5:21 pm

I'm looking for a midi pedal board so I can play a little guitar and still be able to trigger things. I'm looking at the behringer fcb1010 but I'm curious about other options, especially since I tend to lean away from behringer when I can.
It was as if someone shook up a 6 foot can of blood soda and suddenly popped the top.

The FCB1010 it's the only Behringer thing that no one returns to the store. It just works...

watch out for that little guy. Had a second hand one that I bought for $25 (should've known).. It was never reliable.. it liked to trigger 7 for most of the button presses, and it just got worse and worse.

Get the warranty on that bad boy if anything..

One thing scares me about the FCB 1010:

How are the expression pedals?

Check the above. I'm thinking of getting an FCB1010 as well, reviews so far have been worrying and support sucks. Street price is around $149 - not sure where you guys get it for $100.

Program Change only, as far as I know. Ableton Live likes midi notes and continuous controllers.

right because if it doesnt work and decides to power down in the middle of a show you have to mail it back to them and not the store.

cheers to however pointed out the line6 pedal boards on the forum. looking forward to checking them out even though they don't have as much flexibility in terms of programming.
