Will Live 8.1 have Max4Live runtime?

Post by doremifa » Fri Nov 20, 2009 11:20 am

Essential question!

I am not a programmer and plan only to use some devices created with M4L!

Sure I don't want to pay 300$ for that. I would pay 30-50 or take it for free.

What is Abes marketing plan?

This has been discussed at great length and at present the response is no.

This of course sucks.

agree here too!

As Live 8.1 will integrate M4L, it's sad.

I don't know if I'd go as far as "greedy Abes."

But like you, I'd happily pay up to about £50 for the ability to use M4L devices made by others.

cycling74 wrote:Please fill out the form below, if you would like to receive USD 49/EUR 39 off the Full Version of Max for Live. ( Max for Live requires Live 8 )

To be eligible:

* You must have purchased Pluggo 3 (or later), Mode 1 (or later), or Hipno 1 (or later). One coupon per person, even if you own more than one set of plug-ins. (Note: NFR plug-in sets are not eligible.)

* If you own a plug-in set above and Max 5, purchasing the USD 99/79 EUR Crossgrade for Max 5 Owners is a better deal than using this coupon toward the USD 299/249 EUR Full Version. You will provide your Max 5 serial number at https://www.ableton.com/shop instead of requesting a coupon code with this form.

* If you represent a school and want Max for Live, contact Ableton's edu sales team (edu@ableton.com) for a quote.

well, there might be a glimmer of hope... it's not much to work with but..
when reading cycling74's announcement for PLUGGO owner's discounts they referred to the 'full' version of M4L.

Now, I'm a big fan of Ableton.... I don't *think* I've ever posted a spoiled brat "why can't they do this?" "give me a discount cos I'm special" rant on this forum (if I did, I was probably drunk). I think Ableton is a great company with a great product.... no complaints at all.

BUT - I will be VERY disappointed if there is no M4L run time.

the whole "I'm not a twat, like those other twats" disclaimer combined with the brand brown-nosing is very twatish.

Like those nob-jockeys who say "some of my best friends are blacks" , or "I'm a liberal, but seriously what's up with those mexicans?"

twatish.
