Can't rewire Live 8

Hi,

Can't rewire Live8 with Sonar. I used to be able to do it on my old XP system, now with win 7 (64 bits), it doesn't work anomyre. Any ideas?

Hi, I have the same problem, though i'm still using windows XP. Using ableton as a rewire slave worked fine with ableton 7 (i have sonar as my master), but it doesn't work with live 8.1 - it hangs on the loading screen, when it says "Creating a live set". I still have ableton 7 installed, do you think this might be the problem, might it clash somehow? Sorry - I'm not so sure how rewire works in the background!

@ the OP- you need to use the 32 bit version of Sonar. ReWire's 32 bit only, and doesn't work with bitbridging solutions.
However, you can have both the 32 and 64 bit versions of Sonar installed on the same machine.

Well this is sad... I installed sonar 64 bits. Someone knows if there is Virtual MIDI cables for win 7? (like midi yoke or VMC)

i dont know about win 7, but you can try Loopbe1.....dont have a link sorry, just google it.

FYI if you had a similar probelm to me, the fix was as follows:

In my advanced audio options in sonar, I had "Share Drivers With Other Programs" turned on, which was obviously creating some kind of issue. I turned this off and it fixed my problem.
