Is there a lack of moderation on the Ableton Forums?

Yes, I think the moderators should be a bit stricter.

That, and it's early-ish in the EU, but Dom probably would have asked for it to be toned down if he were up long enough to have coffee and a berliner. Anyway, the longer you're here, the more you'll be able to tell whose posts to ignore/avoid.
Makes me sad for the human race.
Oh brother!

Honestly, you're full of shit. How do you expect to write that and be taken seriously.

You obviously need to consider that this forum is not right for you.

Your comments appear to suggest you think I am a "churchie" or a "do-gooder". Far from correct, I am neither, I just found that post quite offensive.

You are entitled to your opinion as I am mine, but how about something constructive instead "posting some crap up like this thread". I think think that the jizz post was "crap like this" and am just voicing my opinion, i'm not asking you to like it.
Noone is asking you to like the thread either. And i didnt call u churchie or a do-gooder. It was meant more along the lines of, "just because you don't like it, lets ruin it for everybody"

I'm just saying, I completly agree with you that its not proper in such a place like this but oh well. I made comments to it, had my fun, and if the moderator wants to take it off then great....but posting a thread about it wont solve anything except having other abes post pictures of people whining and telling you to shove off. I've been here long enough to know how shit goes down and i can even see DOM taking off the thread, just let him do his job. I'm sure he's not able to get on right now to cetch it.

Yep that's cool man I completely understand. I'm not trying to solve anything here, just wanting to ask fellow Aber's if they agree/disagree.

If everybody disagrees with me that's cool too. I'm just voicing an opinion, it's my right to do that as it is everyone elses.

I'm not dissing the moderators, just having my say.

You still don't get it, nobody wants to stop you either. Do whatever.

Point is, everybody has their say and forget about permission and apologies.

Not sure what "it" is but no.

I realised before posting that this wouldn't go down well with alot of people. That's still no reason to not voice a concern over something that bothers me.

I´m against censorship. But I think it might be a good idea what was suggested, to split the general forum into a "general music forum" and an OT thing.

Stop hating on modemaster just for asking for an opinion on the subject.

opinions are opinions, but walking into a Best Buy and yelling out that their shirts are too blue is stupid. If you don't like their shirts, don't shop there.

Why don't you just resist the urge to click those threads? It's really quite simple.

Most people here, like myself, enjoy reading a lot of the off topic shit that flies around here because we understand that it's all in good fun and generally goes along with our distorted sense of humor.

It's not like the posts are titled "How to tell if I'm recording 24bits through my ADAT lightpipe instead of 16" but when you open it, the content is "OHHHH I just jizzed on my partner!!!". The titles are usually a gateway to what content is inside the thread. If you just want to read audio stuff, then only click the links that relate (or look like they might) relate to audio.

I've taken it upon myself to bold the important bits just because I wanted to summarize my points.

Thankyou Grappadura.

I would like to point out that I am not asking for these posts to be deleted or have anyone banned for posting such things, I merely think this is not appropriate for the general forum and as such the moderators could move these posts to a different area or at least warn people regarding their conduct here.

This is a PUBLIC forum, not some schoolyard circle jerk.
