Is there a lack of moderation in the General forum?

Discuss music production with Ableton Live.

Is there a lack of moderation on the Ableton Forums?

Yes, I think the moderators should be a bit stricter.

The forum is filled with immature children given the content posted.

Although the really important stuff has moved into Neb's forum some time ago.

Honestly there are guys on this forum who are a bit outrageous, but there have been some surprisingly interesting threads that seem completely random. I loved all the photoshopped pictures of the APC or guys with their equipment, cats, and bicycles. If you don't want to read it ignore it. I did read the whole thread about jizzing on a partner while sleeping but the shit they were saying was funny. It is a way of wasting time and provides these tortured souls an outlet of expression.

What needs to stop in this forum are the morons who ask questions without doing any research of their own or the trolls who spread hateful comments.

Just my piece, so peace!

I thought it was fucking hilarious, this forum has been THE definition of boring recently, particularly with the advent of the completely tedious wankery called Max For Live.

Music discussion? Sure, but if you trawl about the place, you'll see it's all been covered before somewhere.

What headphones make me mix like Sasha?
What Audio Interface do i need to make me a pro?
Isn't Ableton great?

etc.etc.

no.

Jizzing on sleeping people is more fun. end of.

Stop hating on modemaster just for asking for an opinion on the subject.
yes, yes and yes.

Things have got pretty fierce of late, it has to be said. I think a bit of categorization would keep everyone happy.

I mean, when I see posts like "Have you ever jizzed on a partner whilst they were asleep?" I shudder a little. I thought we were here to discuss music and music software, production and techniques. I realise just about every forum on the internet has a General zone where people talk shit, but c'mon, this is ridiculous.

To see the responses that post has received also bothers me somewhat. I'm a red-blooded male, but even I know that is downright wrong, sexist and totally offensive to all the female forum members here. In fact, to women in general. It shows an appaling lack of respect.

I don't wish to start a flame war, but am wondering if i'm the only one here thinking this?

Tell us what you think.

Hi,

Firstly, welcome to the the forum. Whilst I understand where you are coming from this forum is unique. Think of it of the banter that may occur in a music studio whilst a mix is being rendered or gear is being set up etc... Us music geeks need to laugh to you know. A steralised atmosphere would kill this forum. Have you seen the cubase forum recently?

You also have a choice not to read a thread or become part of the forum. It's a free world.

FYI I am 40 years old and dabble in the odd bit of music tom foolery. I also like to jizz (aka moisturise) on my partner whilst she is asleep - I plan to write a song about it too :)
