I never did like those things, being stuck with only coffee that comes in those pots they normally put UHT milk in on planes just doesn't appeal.

espresso machine ftw, has mine 4 years now and it still makes a brew that makes you feel like you just snorted ten tonnes of tiny little cleaners to scrub your brain squeeky clean when you fill it with lovely ground Java/Sumatra goodness ;)

Agreed - french press + filtered water + stumptown coffee = dayammm

I like to put a smidge of cool water in with the grounds before the hot stuff, tends to keep it more smooth.

I'm a 100% coffee drinker, a very good way to spend all these long nights in the studio.Ten years ago I had a coffee store before moving to USA. No need to say that I love the Colombian coffee  .

Interesting.. if you use your own grounds - do you have to maintain the machine at all, i.e cleaning, other than replacing the filter when its borked ?

Been there, Lavazza in the machinetta.

If you can afford, try Illy, there's a difference.

:) funny, I go the other way....It can be 100 degrees out, and nothing refreshes me more like a hot cup of joe.
