Re: ktgranulator install mac / ableton

Re: ktgranulator install mac / ableton
try both locations, some plugs are fussy and only will work in either one...ernene wrote:is it Macintosh HD-library-audio-plugins-components

Mine is in Macintosh HD-library-audio-plugins-components and it works fine. Have you tried using it with other software? I believe Garageband uses Audiounits. Try that and see if it works there.
It's a great plugin and I hope you end up being able to use it (it's a replica of the Granulator contraption in Audiomulch - www.audiomulch.com)

Re: ktgranulator install mac / ableton
is anyone getting the Gui on AU? I really liked it but it does not seem to work on OSX.
Re: ktgranulator install mac / ableton
Right, I have tried both KTGranulator1.2.3_AU.dmg & KTGranulator1.2_VST_OSX.dmg
I am using snow leopard on a new mac, just for curiosity sake which should I be using?
are there any plugin / vst folder options in live that I might have to enable to see the plug?
cheers

if you are on an intel mac use the audio unit as the VST only runs on ppc'sbhc303 wrote:Right, I have tried both KTGranulator1.2.3_AU.dmg & KTGranulator1.2_VST_OSX.dmg

place KTGranulator.component in /library/audio/plug-ins/components on your hard drive.
i dont know if it makes a difference but i place it in the library folder in the main directory on my harddrive not the /users/ directory
hope you get it working!
Re: ktgranulator install mac / ableton
got it working,
should my version of KTgranulator look like this though?

Looks like you're running the non-GUI version. I hope there is some way to get the AudioUnit to load with the GUI
