Live 8.1 does not start

Post by 14 Zero Zero » Sun Dec 13, 2009 1:44 pm

Just installed 8.1 and it does not even start under Snow Leopard 10.6.2. I get a "Fatal Error" message...
What to do? Any tips?
Mac Pro, Live 8, Logic 8, UAD-2, Korg electribe, Nord Rack 2, ME-Geithain RL-906, Neumann, Brauner, SPL stuff

Well, here that happens from time to time (also Snow Leopard). I force quit and after that it normally starts or I try to log out and log in again.

Have you repaired permissions? (Disk Utility)

Here it is no show stopper, annoying but as I said, after some forced quits I normally get it to work. Otherwise contact support and send them the crashlogs and the files they will ask for.

best

try deleting or hiding your preferences.cfg file. I don't know where it is on a Mac.

What error are you getting exactly? I has happened to me on SL that Live will crash during a set and then if I try to restart the program without rebooting my mac, it says that "a serious program error has occured" yada yada and won't start back up. Until I reboot that is. It started with the m4l beta and now has happened a few times with 8.1. Its not that often though.
