live 4 new purchase

hi there,

i've got a good friend of mine who is with me over this weekend and she would like to know if we purchase live 4 (i upgraded from 3), if she has to wait for the boxed copy to arrive before being able to use it?

She's in town for a few days and I'll have to configure her notebook and do latency adjusting etc for her and would like to know if it will be available electronically until the package arrive.

i just went through the effort of getting my boss to pay for it using his credit card and i was not supplied a serial number.

I'm pretty disappointed...

Hi sweetjesus,

Did you buy the download version or the boxed version? Have you been sent a confirmation e-mail yet? I think it includes the serial number, cant remember for sure though....You might be able to use that serial number to unlock a demo version??

I couldn't find any specific download version. They only had the one version in the online store.

For $499 they could have emailed me the serial number. What's more, my boss had to put his home address which is an entirely different country beause the credit card transaction wouldnt go through with a different shipping address, I will have to wait 2 weeks before the damned thing arrives by the sound of it.

This is bollocks.

Although I admit I should have waited for official word from Ableton prior to making the transaction, we wish that could be up and running with the software by now.

Did you save the purchase confirmation page, telling you "Order Recieved....."

If you look below the order description there should be the following written:
Your New Serial Number is: xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx

and there will be a link to download the Live4 package.

That is what was written on my order confirmation page, I did not have to
wait for the serial in an email. Obviously they have chnged the process.
