Duplicating in arrangment

Post by DDCCD » Mon Dec 21, 2009 5:53 pm

If I have 2 bars of loop, and I delete the second bar of the loop, then highlight both bars (second one is empty), I should be able to duplicate and send that to the right (so that 2nd bar is always empty).

BUT Live is keeping that 2nd bar in all duplications.

I am accustomed to pro tools, where duplicating would truly duplicate exactly what is highlighted, even if it is no clip.

yes, you're doing something wrong..

I highlighted 16 bars here (the area in the loop bar) and hit ctrl + d to duplicate it over and over...

The question is:

If I am publicating 2 bars, and one of them is blank space, (but highlighted) .... how come that blank space does not show up in the duplicates? If I am duplicating over a clip to the right, the empty part becomes the clip I am duplicating over.
I want to see bar / no bar / bar /no bar.... off to the right.

If I highlight a section like that, i should be able to get that.

So I guess I did not ewxplain that I'd like to be able to dup right over a clip that is to the right.

ohh, no I don't think you can, I think it kinda merges with anything to the right side if something is there....

just delete it before duping ?
