UAD 2 Quad and all the plugs. Not using anything else to mix anymore, apart from the wonderful Stillwell effects and some freeware.
Live 9 Suite, audio trackles (several audio tracks that crackle)

day-amn! just scored a roland rs-09 for $200bucks I love the sound of this thing, it's not worth more really but that's just my opinion everybody seems to be selling them for between 3 and $500 8O hence my happiness. $200 has been the sweetspot this year for me it's crazy, maschine-$200, juno 106-$200 juno-6 $200 and now this  the rs-09 looks like it brand new, plastic still on serial

installed a backflow prevention system for my sewer line, (backflow valve + a manually operated knife valve, + added a cleanout outside)

robert glasper, double booked

got approx $1k worth of 2" briggs/stratton trash pump +etc for $240 (yeah i live in a flood plain!)

got two nice swage blocks for the price of usable scrap! if I don't use them someday for metalwork, i'll make a cool coffee table

Oh wait. I'm retarded. I switched over to Mac this year. So I'm going to say my MacBook White 2.8 GHz was my best purchase by far. It's been a long year, I guess.

I assume we're leaving out Live 8? That would be up there with my best purchases I think.

It's a tough call between:
-Live 8
-APC40
-Maschine

Those things certainly changed my setup and workflow big time.

Recently however, I'm quite happy about the Korg Legacy collection with the MS-20 controller. Also Spectrasonics Trilian has trumped all soft synth VA's for synth bassess and was a good buy.
