You've got quite a few MIDI controllers on your gear list there, Klinikal. To quote your signature: "Launchpad | BCR2000 | ReMote SL Compact | padKONTROL | nanoKONTROL".

So I wondered whether you were actually using all of them or if, like me, you'd got a load propped up against walls, in boxes, etc.

I'm interested in the Launchpad and may well be tempted, but I'm curious about what it is that you think it offers over and above the other MIDI controllers in your collection.

In general, btw, how about people giving some reasons for their choices, as I did when commenting earlier.

Got to revisit this. Same here, just bought a house for 135K in Seattle. 2006 price was $315K. 17K in a refurb loan, tons of heavy work to do, but when I move in $104 a month cheaper mortgage than the rental I'm in. There are people probably posting on these forums that lost their houses so I never made a thread about it, but I've always lived well bellow my means, and have never been able to afford a house in Seattle, so this is pretty dammed crazy? Haven't worked since late November, but still barley afloat and about to lower my rent by buying a house? Capitalism is weird man, just weird.

APC 40 was a great buy but not the greatest...

Upgrade from live8 to the live8 suite download version. The 10th anniversary discount made this the deal of the year. Now i just need a new computer that can handle the massive workload it takes to run these instruments.

I bought Launchpad because I needed that kind of controller for ages - to have more control of Live grid.

As for the rest they are all in use: BCR2000 is for controling macro knobs on each of first 8 tracks in my set/template and for FX parameters, padKONTROL controls step sequencer + drums on the track 9 (i use farmpad, that gives me more options), ReMOTE SL has one track (10) set with Instrument Rack for live jaming/playing etc. Only nanoKONTROL is used separetly for my DJ sets template.

So everything is well planed.

I think I said Fabfilter Pro Q earlier in this thread because it's so utilitarian and it's the first eq I found "musical" rather than surgical so I'm less afraid to really sculpt things now.

But I'm just scratching the surface of the awesomeness that is Max for Live. Don't know if I'll ever fully learn how to program things, but people are doing some really cool stuff and it's interesting to look at their designs. So many creative people out there, making really cool devices.

Dell 2209WA - Really great monitor for the price. Convinced me that I'll never need to buy an over priced Apple Cinema Display again.
Agree. This is a superb monitor and also one the best things I've purchased for a long time.
