I am glad to hear this message. Seems like people can buy m4l if they want new features anyway.

Erm, not exactly. It's another step towards them actually supplying the working product you previously paid for. Although that working product is still aways off. Hardly commendable... but yes, a step in the right direction for sure.

Yep, hence "you", not "we".

I was in the Live 8 beta. Shocked when they released it in that state, and have been playing "wait and see" ever since. Still waiting, still watching... still seeing a train wreck. How long is it now - 9 months? Thank goodness they are now finally going to pull out the stops and get this working for all :D

 just checking.

I had my first show stopper bug yesterday. I sent in the .als I could no longer open, today got a fixed .als from Ableton. :D I've been lucky but the laptop does struggle more under 8.1 than Live 7.

played with it for a few hours last night. feels the same as 8.1 but haven't tested it, only used it. I'm just stoked to get that .als fixed, there was a bassline in there I liked.

I would be interested in what that actually means.
How many people were working in the development team and how
many in the bug fix team ? Without having an impression of that
the whole statement can mean a lot or next to nothing...
what does the whole team mean to you? :?
all of 2, all of 20, all of 50, all of 100..
it'll still be the whole team..

What I meant was if the dev team now joins the bug fix team,
will the bug fix team (and so the bug fix effort) grow
by 10%, 20%, 50%, 200%...?

To know that would give me an impression of how huge
the step Gerhard announced really is and what we can
expect from it.

I am just a little afraid as I have an installation standing in a public artspace right now, running on live 8.1 and it needs to work bugfree as I am going to travel and can't go there to fix anything. And I don't have the time to go there and install 8.1.1.

It's audio only, no vsts, no 3rd party software involved, so I should not worry too muc, I believe. I could have made it with live 3 actually. Up until now it has been running two days without hiccups. holding thumbs.

Some time ago I wouldn't have been afraid of crashes, but now after all this talk and then the statement fromableton, .... , uiuiui, doesn't feel too good.
