Benny And The Jets

Post by beats me » Sun Jan 03, 2010 5:06 am

Downloaded the sheet music. A lot harder to play than I thought it would be. But if I show up to a house with a piano I'll totally be the life of the party.

sheet music ...eugh

see those little "guitar" chords above the confusing lines and squiggly dots? that's where the gold is, baby. gold!

"I Hope I Never" by Split Enz is my 10-fingered piano party piece.

I love the hand claps in that track and that is when Elton rocked...

Now I downloaded the MIDI file and am putting completely inappropriate drum loops over the piano.

Jay-Z or lazy asshole?

cool tune. never thought about trying it, or hearing the WHOLE song.
http://www.eltonscafe.com/Songs/BennieAndTheJets.htm

"As both a pianist and fan, Elton's solo tour in 1999 continually impresses me as one of the greatest achievements of his career. It's my privilege to share this classic music with you."
the midi file on the site is him playing the song, it's really good. piano and lead pads in 4 midi tracks. sounds good in Live with Electric MK presets. 4 midi tracks feeding one Electric.

Why don't you be the life of the Ableton forum and post a video of you playing and singing Benny And The Jets?*
