direct or low latency monitoring solutions?

My 002R doesn't support direct monitoring and I'm getting to the point in some projects of having to raise the buffer to 128 and above which can be annoying when recording audio. Any ableton tricks you guys have? In pro tools I usually just would through on low latency mode for tracking which worked fine.
