TerraTec Phase 24 Firewire?

anyone heard anything about this little guy? i've looked all around, but haven't heard anyone give an opinion. it's a really small, stuningly georgeous 2x2 (with a possible seperate h/p out?) firewire interface for about $250.

if anyone has used one or has found any opinions online about this i'd be eager to hear about it.

well...i recieved it, and all it seems to do is emit a one second burst of high pitched static every five seconds. happens when plugged into several computers, as well as when it's running of the wallwart without being hooked up to a machine. no other sound comes through. nothing about this in the manual, online faqs, or anywhere else, and i have yet to hear back from tech support.

i've no idea why i expected a peice of modern technology to actually work. silly me.

just got the replacement unit...and it does the same damn thing. avoid this unit.

Thanks for letting us know. I've been wondering about what's a good firewire interface to buy. I never thought very highly of Terratec products anyway. When it comes to audio interfaces I like to stick with something that alot of people use and are happy with. I shy away from the more obscure products.

Check the new presonus firewire interface. For only 50$ more you get a lot more of features and presonus quality.

i got the other terratec phase 26 usb 24 bit/96 khz multi/audio box and there very cool indeed.........
