Mixdown

Post by spjuver555 » Thu Jan 07, 2010 8:37 pm

I posted this question before butI never got back any decent answer.

So, In Ableton how do I mixdown external outputs from my mixing console back to the box and one audio channel?

In Logic Im opening new audio track and activating REC on it and recording all channels thru external mixer to one audio track.

In Ableton I made separate buses which are routed to ext 1-2, ext 3-4, ext 5-6 and ext 7-8. All those external channels are routed to my mixing desk and from the desk all outgoing signal are connected to soundcard 1-2 input.

Thanks for your help.

Sounds like you have set it up just fine to me. If you have the master out on your external mixer wired into your sound card then just set up a new audio channel in live and set the 1&2 inputs of your sound card. Make sure you con't have a loop, ie this new audio channel then going striaght back out into the desk again, returning on 1&2, abck into the desk......
