Did anyone find a solution for this? Got the same issue now.....
There's also a bug in the released version (that's fixed in the L11.1 beta) that happens when your have record quantisation + chase midi both active.
Deactivate one of these and you'll be good.

Considering the release notes for beta 11.1.b6 and before I think it's time for an official 11.1.

Well, for the sake of reliability L11.1 will be released when Ableton thinks it's time to release it.

Hi,

I just found this question, I am having exactly the same issue, double notes are recorded when playing my keyboard. one small and then the regular one for each midi note recorded. It is kind of random, happens like 50% of the times, the rest is fine. I updated to 11.1.5, reinstalled everything, etc but no luck.

Turning on "Reduced Latency when monitoring" or disabling "Record Quantization" did not work for me.

I would appreciate any help here. I can´t do any work. Thanks so much!

EDITED: I fixed it changing Midi Input from "All Channels" to "Channel 1", my fault :)

That's good news, but this setting shouldn't be causing such behaviour in the first place... or am I missing something?

This issue has really irritated me for awhile. No other DAW I have, produces the "two-note" error, nor is this error reproduced in "stand alone" mode . My solution was to specifically choose the input type on the track inut/output panel. I have always just selected "all ins" here, and for some reason Ableton will randomly play that extra note,or the note at a different pitch. You would think "all ins" would work with only having one controller input.Anyways, all seems good now. 8)
