Post by McQ714 » Thu Jan 14, 2010 8:49 pm

well into the first day of NAMM and nothing is blowing me away, yet. this is probably a good thing for my wallet's sake!

something looks off about that unit judging by the picture. it looks like an image printed on a cardboard box to me. the keys look huge compared to the control surface. still, it could be cool if the price is right! not my cup of tea really, or cup of coffee as you Seattle-ites might say!?!?

And thank heavens for that. Last year was fucking overload! Live8, MaxforLive, APC40, Maschine, etc. etc.

I don't think I'd be able to handle a NAMM as eventful as last year! :P

I'm saving my excitement for the 2010 Winter Bug Fix Symposium. New gear is cool and all but can't even touch the excitement of when your software finally does what it said it could do 9 months ago and without crashing. Plus beta testers are a crazy group of motherfuckers AND chicks get in for free. I heard this year they're even adding an extra 100,000 square foot tent to accommodate all the new developers that swear their software works now. Stoked!

This looks pretty awesome. The drum module isn't that much different from others, but it looks and feels like a real acoustic kit, which is great for people like me who have played acoustic for years. Also, at the end of the video, it shows them replacing the pads with drumheads, so you get 2 kits in one, which is pretty damn cool.

Price is $3200 though.
