Hi folks,
Am considering getting the M-Audio wireless MIDI interface, MidAir...
...anyone used one? Any good?
Alternatively, anyone else got experience with wireless midi interfaces/controllers? Needs to be battery-powered at the transmitter-side, i.e. completely portable and ideally a ready to go solution (already looked at Arduino Bluetooth/xbee, but the kits were quite expensive, even compared to the MidAir)...
Thanks for any advice!
M-Audio MidAir / wireless midi - anyone used it?

Id be interested in seeing the results of a real world test.
Im not a huge fan of wireless due to the inherent latency, but the bandwidth required for midi is pretty small.

Yeah, MIDI's minimal bandwidth, and the latency shouldn't be a problem as - in the usage it's planned for - it's a dedicated tx/rx just transmitting over a few metres with no obstacles in between - the latency really isn't inherent with wireless, it's just in practice when the conditions aren't optimal...
But it'd be great to hear about it from people who've used it...
