Getting gear in China

Post by deutero » Thu Jan 21, 2010 5:20 pm

Hey guys and girls. Does any of you have any advice for getting gear in China? I decided not to bring my keyboard controller with me because I didn't think I'd have any trouble finding a simple solution here, but I haven't been so lucky. The only affordable keyboard I've found with MIDI isn't touch-response ... pointless. Plus it looked like a good sneeze could break it.
I'm sure I'd have an easier time in Beijing or Shanghai, but I'm in Dalian.
I don't really need anything special, just some playable old-school MIDI thing would be fine. Any advice is help.
Thanks.

The only workers working cheaper than the Chinese are slaves, also the quality from China is really high, because if a factory worker makes a mistake they get shot.
So you should be able to find anything from any brand because it's all made there.
