I just wondered on a lazy sunday morning, ´cause there was a lot of bitching and some time passed.

Warping is fine.Transient editing/slicing however is a total pain in the ass, and it needs to be addressed.
ctrl + left/right = select transient

ctrl + shift + left/right = select between transients

ctrl + space = play selection

auto warp on full tunes still totally wrong at finding the 1st beat instead puts it in the middle of silence considering it just a decibel thing a bit dissapointed but easily sorted so not the end of the world.

I still miss the old way of zooming, without having to hold Shift or disable preview, just makes things so much slower for me. I'm definitely one of those who has to hold shift a lot because of this.

Hated it at first but after getting the hang of it I like it more than the old way.

I refuse to use 8 ONLY because of the warping, and I bought it.

Can you warp everything in 7 for use in 8? I never tried..

I Like certain things about Live 8's new warping, but for speed i still like Live 7 style, way less clicking. but whatever, not too big a deal.

refusing to use something because one has to change habits is always a bad idea.. :) but i try to explain that to soo much people :)

No arguments here.

I did try once though, it was a very frustrating 2 hours :)

One day I'll be forced to learn it, I'm sure...

The 'new' warping is why I bought Live.
Seems much more logic to me to adjust the sample in time, instead of adjusting time to fit a sample.

i'm not getting the bitchin about..

find the first downbeat
set 1.1.1 here
then
warp from here

also, new warping is FAR more logical (that is visual) for creative purposes as well

what did i miss?
