It seems like you'll be able to launch clips with it. I wonder if it means proper Automap Universal support too?

Usually it just means that it adds support for a new controller.

maybe they meant April..

I would guess designed so that Automap can control Live through automap, instead of from a specially designed Novation template as currently is the case.
Plus from the video, launch scenes, control devices, select tracks and possibly also different fx in a chain (?)

looks like another big advertisment about nothing really special. Mac-like marketing. If Ableton Live will not fully support Automap then all kind of "new controller support" is useless for me. I have my noctrurn + Nano Keys and will not pay another 400 EUR for SL MKII.

I extracted the Ableton DAW setup guide from the Automap 3.4.1 beta which lists the new features.
Live is still using a custom template for the MKII but all controls are now MIDI mapable and there is session control.

I was wondering if whatever they have created will be compatible with the Mk1's????
After reading this, it sounds like my so called mk1 is more powerful until the new mk2... unless I am missing something?
