new eeepc, win7, need most stable live 8 ver... help?

Post by rpc9943 » Mon Mar 15, 2010 1:45 pm

hey all, i just picked up a new eeepc with the intel atom chip... runs great.
having huge issues in live, im really unsure of what to do at this point, and have a live performance coming up this thursday. i load live, it seems fine, great. now, if i have my edirol pcr, novation zero sl, and behringer bca interface, the gui on live becomes extremely laggy and the sound simply stops running. If anyone has any ideas on what to do at this point please help.

i have tried so far live 8.05, 8.08, 8.09... i may try 8.1.1 but im really doubting it will run properly.

all i will be running are minimonsta, and a few other plugins- but specifically looper.

thanks.

Get yourself a new laptop or downgrade to Live 4...

iirc, the Atom is about half as powerful as a Pentium M of about the same clock speed.

translation: it doesn't meet the minimum 1.5GHz system requirements, despite running at 1.6GHz
I don't 'produce.' I write music.

interesting, since the cpu level remains under 15% during all of this.

Not to mention I was running it on my earlier eeepc, with even less cpu... Hmmmm?

Okay just for the record I've discovered 8.0.8 the best version. Zero crashes. Sorry, but it can handle it :)

Thanks either way for responding!

Last night multiple launches, running looper and minimonsta, and vocals. For hours. Also with 30 min breaks. Its running flawlessly. With pcr50/novation remotesl zero
