Quantize audio problem

Post by fastfx » Tue Mar 16, 2010 7:38 pm

Hi,

Been learning the quantize audio stuff, love it! Just a little problem i have, i will quantize a loop, say to 32nd's, then after that i can't seem to change to any other quantize.

I do 'apple Z' to undo it, then go to quantize sttings and try 16ths for example, but it won't quantize.

When i quantize the first time, it puts a bunch of warp markers in and shuffles the groove, as you'd expect, but if i try any other quantize settings none of that happens.

clearly i am doing something wrong, just wondered if anyone had any help for me,

Many thanks in advance.

Tom

play with ctrl-1, ctrl-2, ctrl-3, and ctrl-4.

those turn the grid on and off and increment/decrement the step size.

It seems to me that if i undo a quantize from an audio loop, it takes out all the transients, therefore i cannot quantize again as it has no transients to work with.

How would i go about undoing a quantize but keeping the original transients in place? Or is there a better way of doing what i want?

Many thanks
