Mapping CC's: (problem solved)

Post by UncleAge » Wed Mar 24, 2010 8:14 am

Is there a way to map a CC# to a Macro control? For instance:

1. I add Ace to a track
2. I group Ace so that I now I have a rack
3. I go to map mode and map the Cutoff in Ace to Macro 1

At this point is there anyway for me get Macro 1 to respond to data coming across on a particular CC? Say for instance CC#110.

  • click on the midi button in the top right corner
  • click on the macro
  • move the knob on your controler

Thanks for the help. However, I can see me question wasn't clear enough. See, there isn't a hardware controller in this equation. Just a midi message. So outside of twisting a knob is there is any other way to get this to happen?

Problem solved. The answer was easy, I just didn't give it enough thought. Using the IAC driver I was able to do this in a matter of seconds.

What if it's a foot controller?I have an old Rolls midipedal, and when I've tried to set it up to turn effects on and off.I insert midi track, see light going on and off when pressing midi pedal in midi track ,send it to the effect I want, having inserted audio track. It doesn't do anything.
