wavelab 7 for snow leopard TBA at Musikmesse

Finally Mac users will get access to (IMHO) the best audio editor/mastering software around.
Cubase to be updated to 5.5 and HalionSonic VST workstation type plugin.
But Wavelab 7, the first ever mac compatible version will cause a lot of interest and force the likes of Bias Peak to raise their game.

nah !
Wavelab totally roolz

(Peak is good too, but I like the GUI and workflow in Wavelab better)
My old studio boss hated Peak with a passion, so we kept a PC around to use Wavelab, the only function for the PC, everything else is done in Mac.

Yeah - I've never used anything as good as Wavelab. Even Wave Editor, which is super-cool in many ways, still doesn't feel as intuitive to use.
Re: wavelab 7 for snow leopard TBA at Musikmesse
WOW!!! I've been a Wavelab user for years. I think I started out with version 1.6 and have not used any other audio editor since. I know the program inside and out so I guess my switch to an all mac based system will probably happen soon. This was the only software that keeps me running a PC.

Just out of curiosity, what makes Wavelab so good? I used to use Amadeus, which is was quite happy with and now use Audio Finders editor tool and I don't know what else I would need.

it's audio montage, multitrack editing, superb metering and handles the widest range of file formats including many broadcast/post format types.
Easy to apply and audition plugins non-destructively, super easy to use (like almost on a par with Soundforge).

this is a feature chart of WL6 - 7 will have extra features.
the WL6 video

Easy CD and DVD-A red book compliant authoring, and a bunch more stuff.

That is pretty massive news, when I switched to osx I really missed it. Wave editor is okay, but doesn't have near the amount of features WL does.
Re: wavelab 7 for snow leopard TBA at Musikmesse
This really is big news... I only purchased W6 once I could confirm that v7 would be made cross-platform.
I do like the addition of the Sonnox tools too, but I would upgrade with or without them.
I just want to hear what the price will be like for upgrading.

i've been using Peak(truly, totally HATE that with all the passion i can have, literally threw it away.biggest piece of crap on this side of the Universe imo).
currently i use Wave Editor,it's okay, but ever since i switched to Mac three years ago,i've been missing the dead-easy workflow of Wavelab.
s#$ts on everything,i just have the feeling that i'm going to hate it when i find out you need a dongle to run it.
LOSE THAT!!!!!!!!!
or i'm going to buy Logic studio 9,which doesn't need a dongle, ansd sounds better than......................nope,don't even go into science fiction!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
