OHM Studio looks interesting for collaboration
OHM Studio looks interesting for collaboration
pretty interested in this..
http://www.ohmstudio.com
Looks quite cool for online collaboration, but wonder if it will be subscription based service or similar?

There's a tab named "pricing", and I noticed in the screenshot you'll be able to use the Ohm Force plugins, so don't expect it to be free!
Also, since you're posting this on the Ableton forum... You can share ableton Live projects with friends, already!

This is a general music production part of the forum though and you can share in ableton but only by synching or sending files to each other.
i thought this 'cloud' based solution looked kinda cool!
Ableton Share never worked or did it?

... I think you're right about that "Share" never really worked. Actually, I never had the need to collaborate over the internet with other people.
We'll just have to see how this evolves!

interesting concept there though,
If they just have ohmforce plugs then it will suck.
However if you could rent other companies plugs (as they are stored on their servers then it would be one way of doing it) then that would make things quiote interesting indeed.
An excellent way to demo stuff.

I slipped into a daze, whilst I was there I heard the most startling music, it was at once familiar and alien, reassuring and unsettling.

Been looking at this too.. it does seem like a very cool concept.. As is Share..
How it will work? That's what will depend on wether it's a success or not.. I can see it as a great way to get things going in collaborations much smoother than present options that I know of.. but as I already said.. It has to work..
I really can't see it replacing Live in anyway.. but as a compliment very much so.. However I'm really wanting Ableton SHaRE to get it's sweetness together!
