Re: New MacBook Pros Released today??
well, i hope it's true, i was in a apple retailer today in berlin and there was no sign or hint whatsoever...
i am most curious if the express slots are back in the 15 inch pro, though.

ah crap, I just tread the site more carefully. Indeed they refer to them as dual cores. Damn, I thought all i5 and i7 processors were quad. Oh well, as you were...

And here I was thinking I'd be able to use lots of instances of Alchemy and Aether reverbs on a track basis, never having to freeze anything....

Re: New MacBook Pros Released today??
besides the disappointment of not being quad core anyone knows how good in comparison (how much faster) the i5/i7 duo to the old cored2duo chips actually are???
that would be interesting.
i don't care about quad or octo or whatever as long as they are simply significantly faster...

Re: New MacBook Pros Released today??
It's a 50-70% increase in CPU over the last versions, not too bad for basically the same money. Very happy, might be off to the Aple store today

sounds not to bad indeed
@ thanks HD for the link... might be in for a new one soon myself... let's see what the first real reviews reveal... my biggest concern is the express card slot which i depend on very heavily, might be a 17" then next...???
